Dead Zone was an app idea I had years ago. At this point in my life I wanted to go into some tech field and I was thinking about side projects. So obviously, an app. I had several ideas, the one I remember is Dead Zone.
It was the idea that someone somewhere would want an app that would tell you if the area you were currently standing was a location that someone had previously died at. Morbid, yes, but I am sure there is someone that wants this app, if it doesn’t exist yet.
I only got as far as some logos and the concept. Obviously the logistics of it would be scary. Getting data on where people died could lead to some sketch scenarios. Not to mention some weird people taking the app too far and intruding on peoples property.
But the idea still sounds fun to me now that I have started thinking of it. People chase haunted houses and such, so an app that could lead people to potential spooky encounters seems like a money maker. My luck someone would stumble into some area that had a couple deaths, and thus they die themselves, then I get sued.
But what if, just what if, congregating the areas of death had some benefits? Such as helping triangulating where some dangerous individual may be operating? Finding the elusive Sasquatch? The positives are endless. Maybe some interesting places have some weird energy that goes hand in hand with loss of life? Who knows, i’m not a doctor.
